
Greg Lampe Pool Director
Greg begins his 35th year as the Pool Director at Lake Shore Country Club. He competed in four years of swimming at Strong Vincent and Kent State University. He was a high school All-American. He graduated from Kent State with a B.S. in health, physical education and history. Greg obtained an M.S. in physical education from the University of Bridgeport. He was the first Gannon University swim coach from 1985-1987 and he coached high school swimming for 20 years. Greg also taught Adaptive Physical Education for the Erie School District for 34 years and is now enjoying retirement. Greg is certified as a Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard training, CPR, AED and First Aid. He is also a certified Pennsylvania pesticide core and category 24 (Pool Chemicals Applicator). He has also been a high school and college swimming official for 43 years.

J.R. Jensen Swim Coach
J.R. Jensen is currently in his third season as the swim coach and assistant pool director at LSCC. However, his swimming ties to Lake Shore Country Club began 30 years ago with his start into competitive swimming as a ten and under, followed by a summer guard at the club pool and then as a coach from 1988 to 2000. J.R. also swam for Fairview High School and for Edinboro University.
J.R. and his wife Kimberly coach the Fairview High School swim team. For the last 18 years, they have coached the team to 11 District 10 titles, numerous region titles, two National top five rankings in the National Team Power Point, six high school swimming All-Americans and a consistent winning record with sportsmanship and team cohesiveness as a top priority. J.R. brings the same passion of the sport combined with his unwavering commitment to a positive and respectful team atmosphere to Lake Shore Country Club.
A PIAA team state runner-up title in the swimming and diving competition for the Fairview boys team helped J.R. earn the honor of the 2011 AA Boys swimming coach of the year. He was also named the Fairview High School Person of the Year, and was a finalist for the Erie Times Varsity Cup coach of the Year.
J.R. is employed at the Fairview School District as a history and art teacher. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership from Mercyhurst College. Besides being a coach for Lake Shore County Club, he is also a LSCC swim Dad. J.R. is very excited to have his daughter Merrikate, age 7, and his son Finn, age 4, on the swim team this year.
