Paul has been an avid golfer since childhood. He was a four-year letter winner on the Fairview HS golf team and a three-time all-county selection by the Erie Times News. He played Division I golf at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He later transferred to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where he was a three-year letter winner in golf and team captain his junior and senior year.

Paul started his golf career at Elk Valley in Fairview, PA. He later relocated to Hilton Head Island, SC to work for May River Golf Management; owner of both Old Carolina Golf Club and Old South Golf Links. Starting as an Assistant Golf Professional, Paul was promoted to Head Professional less than two years later, at 27, becoming the youngest Head Professional member of the HHI PGA chapter.

Through his mentor, Scott Adams; former Director at the famed Harbor Town Golf Links, Paul learned the the art of running an award winning golf shop and how to create and maintain excellent course conditions. This led Paul to earn his GCSAA Class A credentials. Paul is also in the PGA associate program and will soon be one of only a handful of golf industry professionals in the United States with both GCSAA Class A and PGA Class A status.

Paul is also a 2020 graduate of the prestigious Melrose Leadership Academy through GCSAA. Attending the Academy at GIS helped Paul to further develop his leadership and mentoring skills.

Today, with nearly 25 years of experience, Paul brings his diverse industry knowledge to his golf staff and maintenance crew, with the goal of providing the best golf experience possible, both on and off the course to all who play Lake Shore Country Club.

Paul and his wife, Sarah, enjoy playing golf, traveling, and spending time their two Boston Bulldogs.
